Great Commission Bible Institute Internship application

Overview

Congratulations on making the decision to devote one year to studying the Bible cover-to-cover. We are so excited about the things you will discover about God, the world He has made and your place in it!

Neighborhood Church Ocala knows that this is the start of something beautiful and we want to support you in your study and train you for the next step on your adventure with Jesus. Ocala is a three-hour drive north from Avon Park where you’ll be staying and learning at GCBI. Because that distance is too great for us to work together during your studies, we will support you for one year and then equip you to apply what you’ve learned the following year during a 12-month internship in Ocala.

Assurances and requirements

  • Neighborhood Church Ocala (NCO) will cover the educational cost for my term at Great Commission Bible Institute (GCBI) up to $8,500.

  • The ministry team of NCO will be available to counsel an internship candidate throughout their year of GCBI. They will facilitate a monthly check-in call to encourage and help face any challenges.

  • While enrolled in GCBI participation with Neighborhood Church (Sebring, Lakeland or Ocala online) is strongly encouraged.

  • The intern will move to Ocala at the end of the GCBI term for 1 year.

  • The intern will be equipped and empowered to serve NCO and the community of Ocala in a manner consistent with their gifts and calling for that year.

  • The team at NCO will disciple me in bi-vocational ministry. During their internship, the intern will be employed outside of the church while serving in ministry roles.

  • The intern will be responsible for finances and housing. NCO has arrangements and connections for housing and employment opportunities. The intern must demonstrate responsibility to maintain these benefits and failure to do so may result in loss of employment or living quarters.

Applicants who feel they may better express themselves verbally may also submit an additional video application. Record yourself answering all of the questions on the written application. Upload it and include a link to your video application along with your written application to to ocala@weareneighborhood.church.

A written application is required, a video application is optional.
